I made this as I navigate changes in my size and the mad internalized propaganda of fatness being weaponized against women and the realization that until I can be “ugly” in whatever way it’s considered, without punishment, rejection, violence – I’m not free. Until we can exist as we are, in whatever ways that are considered “ugly”, including “loudness” and “anger” or “protest”, we’re not truly free.
